You know, I'm can't argue you on the intelligence game, cause you actually
know what it's like on the inside. However, you and I both can agree that
we DID NOT have good reason to go to war with Iraq, even given the fact that
most of the guys in the 9/11 attack were from Saudi Arabia. See, everyone
says the war was necessary, and all that, but my argument is we didn't have
to go to war with Iraq, no matter what anyone says. That's just something
that the Bush administration WANTED to do, and in hindsight, you can justify
just about anything.
And for the record, I have 3, count them 3 family members in Iraq right
now. You know what? For all the patriotism talk, they are not happy to be
there, they don't want to be there, they don't feel like they need to be
there, and the only reason they ARE there is because they felt like they had
a lack of options. But Republicans paint this picture of proud soldiers,
fightin for our freedom. Some are, and some are proud to be doing what
they're doing, but there are also some that are there because of lack of
choices. I have a cousin who's a LT. Col. in the Army, and he drinks the
kool-aid, but the others are not so much like that. Not that there's
anything wrong with being a service man, but still, not everyone over there
is zealous about fighting over there. That's a misconception.
If I exaggerate, or overstate something to you, to coerce you into doing
something you wouldn't have normally done, am I a bad guy?
